Caterpillar

For those times when a massive robot is just too much effort for testing a small piece of software, we have the Caterpillar. Originally sponsored and commissioned by the Climate Corporation, the chassis was built by Charlie Ross who now works at Blue River Technologies. Recently I took a few days to rebuild and re-purpose the empty shell into a fully functional robot.

With power and motion control all safely tucked away beneath, I can focus on developing higher level logic. Odds are the Precision Agriculture club will use this as our prototype platform for a watermelon sorter for the AgBot competition
